This is one way to tell if you’re a clean freak! Cleaning your home regularly and emphatically is hard work and takes a lot of energy. Often, clean freaks are really fit and yet you may never see them at the gym or jogging around the park, they get their fitness kicks from cleaning!
- Are you still cleaning when others are tucked up in bed?
For a true clean freak, they simply cannot rest until their home is spotless and will never leave dirty dishes overnight. It may be midnight before the clean freak hits the hay, as they know that sleep will not come easily to them if they’ve overlooked any household chores.

When a new cleaning product or tool hits the market, do you feel compelled to go straight out and buy it, and then waste no time putting it to the test? If the answer is yes, then you’re a certified clean freak!
- Is no shelf left unclean?
Do you ensure that every single shelf in your home is spotlessly clean? If you see a mere speck of dust, must you clean it immediately, even if it does involve removing every item from the shelf to clean it before putting it back on to the freshly dusted shelf? Clean freaks often refuse to let anyone help with cleaning their home, even if it’s a family member, as they believe that only they will get the job done properly.
